Para Equestrian is managed by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), covering the following riding disciplines: dressage, jumping, rallies, driving. One of the parts of para-equestrian - para-driving - is now a Paralympic event.
Due to the different levels of disability of riders, a classification system consisting of four levels of fitness was developed by Chris Meaden from Great Britain:
level 1a: walking, level 1b: walking and short trot sections, level 2: walking and trotting, level 3: walking, trotting and galloping, level 4: walking, trotting and galloping, side gaits.
At national competitions there are two groups to which riders are assigned: group A and group B. A separate classification of results is carried out for these groups. In group A, in which competitors start according to the classification level, "only ancillary equipment that has been listed in the competitor's classification card may be used".
In group B, the remaining competitors and everyone who performs the program with assurance start; in this group, 'auxiliary equipment used must be replaced each time before the competition'. According to the regulations of the national pairing competition, from March 2013 there is also a division of competitors from group A into juniors and seniors. Juniors make simpler programs.
The competition will take place at the Hala Pomarańczowa (Orange Hall). The entrance can be found on either ul. Łokietka or the footbridge over Zielona Droga.
